“This track was made around April 2021, not long after my mum was diagnosed with cancer eight years on from my dad’s diagnosis and death. Becoming acutely aware of death’s presence again in my life has been an incredibly difficult and lonely experience, and it can be really difficult to make sense of why things like this happen. This song is about navigating that maze of feelings and fears, from the doubts that clutch at your heart to the blessings and teachings that you can take in the darkest times.”
